5 tips to make your smartphone more secure

1. Use a PIN or password
As a precaution if one day your phone is lost or stolen, attach a PIN so they can not access your home screen smart phone. That way the data you store on the device will be protected.

2. Be sure to stay up-to-date

Both Apple and Google, they are both making regular updates on their smartphone operating system. This update includes patches for newly discovered security vulnerabilities. For that, make sure you do not miss the newest version.

3. Be careful with outstanding applications

The application for your smart phones are huge numbers and has a function that is sometimes tempting. But if you're not an expert, you better download it from the official app store. Do not let a malicious program (malware) inserted into your device. Make sure you also check the reviews of the user before the download.

4. Turn off WiFi and Bluetooth

When not in use, turn off WiFi and Bluetooth on your mobile. There is a risk of hackers will access the smartphone remotely (long distance)and tamper with its contents. Another thing to note is that when using WiFi networks in public places, make sure you are in a network that is encrypted and requires a password.

5. Backup your crucial data
Sometimes, the only way to eliminate the virus is entrenched in the smartphone by deleting the entire memory you have. If you do not want the data lost, do not be lazy to do regular backups of either of contacts, messages, photos up to the applications.
