Nvidia are confident that Tablet Honeycomb become Serious Threat for iPad

NEW YORK - Although disappointed with the results of initial sales of tablet-based Honeycomb (Android 3.0), Co-founder and Chief Executive of chip designer Nvidia Jen-Hsun Huang believes if this tablet would be a serious competitor for Apple's iPad.

Huang rate, Honeycomb tablet plus processors from Nvidia, will be the idol of society and potentially 'evicted' from his throne as king iPad tablet.

"Android phone only took two and a half years to reach momentum today. I think the same thing will happen in tablet Honeycomb," said Huang told Cnet quoted as saying by Reuters on Tuesday (05/17/2011).

When launched, the iPhone was ordained as an ideal standard by the lovers of smart phone technology. But now the iPhone sales have started to lose by Android-based phone, which is very popular in China and other developing markets.

According to Huang, the tablet with the Android operating system, including Honeycomb, sooner or later will surpass sales of the iPad. Moreover, developers are now more cunning to create more games and more sophisticated software.

Nvidia's own party has been preparing the next generation mobile processor, code-Kal-El (Superman's real name superhero - ed). Reportedly, 10 companies such as PC and mobile phone manufacturers have expressed interest in the famous Kal-El of this processors.
