IPAD has pocketed the permission of the United States Federal Aviation (FAA), to replace the role of aviation charts that still use paper.

The airline has announced the iPad will be used to replace system graphics reading flight manuals.

Apple has provided GoodReader application in PDF format, the contents of the graphics information 41 flight manual.

By using IPAD, Alaska Airlines claims to successfully save up to 2.4 million sheets of paper. So that companies can save on the cost of purchasing paper.

On the other side of the fuel used by aircraft are also declining, because the weight of luggage will be reduced. During this pilot always carry a bag that weighs over 50 kilograms, since most contain flight graph paper.
