"Smartphone" and Tablets Can be melt, united or merged

TAIPEI- Asia's largest computer exhibition, Computex Taipei 2011, become an arena show off the tablet PC. Dozens of digital technology vendors competing to offer the digital board.


Apple's success in creating the iPad in 2010 has encouraged other manufacturers to join a slate of digital devices and even less expensive equivalents. Passion tablet PC manufacturers could be seen at Computex Taipei 2011 exhibition which took place on May 31 to June 4 yesterday.

In a list released by Taitra as the organizer of Computex 2011, no fewer than 10 brands compete tablet PC participated in the exhibition showcased the latest technology. They include Acer, Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, ViewSonic, and OEM provider of tablet PCs, such as the Shuttle. Some manufacturers had at least offer a tablet PC models made by them, most of the others immediately poured several series at once although not all series are ready to be mass produced.

However, the smartphone with the function of the tablet PC will be a threat to the development of tablet PCs and netbooks," said Steven Chen as Regional Sales Director South-East Asian & Indian Market of Notebook MSI Sales Division on the sidelines of Computex Taipei 2011.

The difference between smartphones and tablet PCs are getting thinner because of the features and functions of both are very identical. Digital slate with 5 or 7-inch screen, for example, also has facilities telephony. There is also a tablet PC with a dual-on SIM card, such as the TCB S701. It is not impossible that both devices will melt into a more sophisticated devices.
