Studies and surveys indicate that China's Second Largest Market App Store

CALIFORNIA - China has now become the second largest market for downloading on Apple's App Store, while the biggest market is still held by the United States (U.S.), according to a recent study. Research conducted by Distimo find that the download in the App Store for the Asian region is growing rapidly within the last six months, while the number of downloads in the western countries have decreased. Similarly, as quoted by Mashable, Thursday (23/06/2011).

The number of paid downloading applications and overall sales revenue in Asia is still below the U.S. and Europe. Users prefer to download the free application instead of buying a paid application. In addition, the study also found that users in Japan prefer to buy the paid applications than its neighbors.

Other facts found in the study are the majority of iPhone applications in Asia is only popular in the region alone, for example, Kung Fu Panda Food-and Birzzle. This happened in China, South Korea and Japan. While in countries like India and Indonesia, it is not very influential.

Countries in the U.S. and Asia, have the same tendency in the use of content applications. Is a popular game among them, followed by entertainment, social networking, and others.
