mobile users now actively prefer to spend more time on applications rather than browsing the web, according to a recent report by consulting firm, Flurry.

Flurry of mobile data by comparing statistics from comScore and Alexa, and found that in June, the mobile user spends 81 minutes per day using mobile applications, compared with 74 minutes browsing the web. Similarly, as quoted by Mashable, Tuesday (21/06/2011).

In addition, Flurry also found that users also spend 9 percent more time using mobile applications. The report also found that the growth in use of applications coming from a single user, not calculated from the overall average user.
