Hackers now aim and attack Sega

Game companies are sending an email to remind users that the service had been hacked Sega Pass. Although the Sega claims payment system is not compromised because the company uses third-party services to handle payment problems, hackers managed to retrieve the data in the form of an email address, birth date and password.

Sega Pass system has been offline since Thursday (16 / 6). Sonic the Hedgehog game developers were also re-setting passwords. However, they still recommend customers to beware of suspicious e-mail and ask for personal data. If customers have the same login for the Sega Pass and other sites or services, Sega asking them to change.

It was not yet clear who attacked Sega. LulzSec hacker group also denied involvement in the attack. In fact, the group has recently admitted that they were responsible for the attacks to a network of Sony, Nintendo and a number of U.S. government agencies.
