Cisco predicts that There are 15 Billion Internet Devices in 2015

CALIFORNIA - Today the number of devices connected on the internet is approximately five billion, but within the next four years that number will increase massively, because Cisco would estimate there are 15 billion Internet devices during the year.




As quoted from Know Your Mobile on Wednesday (08/06/2011), predictions from Cisco indicates that the later would be no more than two devices connected to the internet for everyone.

"Sales of smart phones increased 72 percent from the year 2009, and is calculated by 19 per cent of the total sales of communications devices in 2010," according to the Gartner.

"Western Europe and North America are computed at 52.3 percent for the global smart phone sales in the fourth quarter of 2010," they said.

In-Stat also said that sales of tablet continues to grow. They predicted that tablet shipments will increase to 58 million units in 2014. "In addition, 4.5 million tablets will be sold during the fourth quarter in 2010," they said.

In addition, Cisco also predicts that the total Internet traffic will increase rapidly in 2015. They are now looking for ways to manage Internet traffic growth was remarkable.
